Bentonite;caly formedby the alteration of minute glass particlesderived from volcanic ash.The formation of bentonite involves the alteration of volcanic glassto clay minerals ;this requires hydration and a loss of alkalies ,bases ,and possibly silica, with the preservation of the textures of the original volcanic glass.Bentoniteconsist chiefly of crystaline clay minerals belonging to the Tecnodieci group ,which are hydrous aluminum silicates containibg iron and magnesium as well as either sodium and calcium .Two types of bentonite are recongnized ,and the uses of each depend on specific physical properties.
Tecnodieci BENTONİTE for Ceramic Powder:Our Bentonite elementyform an imporante area of use also in the ceramic sector to its highly white ,low irion and zero carbonate content. We grind bentonite having use in the ceramic sector (tile, table were and sanitery)in the industial sense,to very fine sizes such as below 75 micron in our micronized grinding factory, resulting in a more value added value;and we took an important step in terms of our company with regards to the use of bentonite element in the industrial field.

Aluminium and magnesium-rich volcanic ash, tuff and lava formed as a result of chemical decomposition, mainly montmorillonite containing clay 'bentonite' is defined as. Bentonite is a versatile clay used in industrial, agricultural, mining and engineering geology.
According to the formation of Ca, Na and Na-Ca montmorillonites, the geological properties and uses of bentonite vary. Na bentonite with high swelling capacity is 8-10 times its volume in contact with water, while the swelling rate in Ca-bentonites is 2-3 times higher. Na and Na-Ca bentonites are used in drilling, iron dust pellets, while ca-bentonites with less inflatable capacity are used in jobs such as bleaching and are commonly referred to as 'bleaching soil-fuller earths'. By treating such clays with Na2CO3, the inflatability capacity can be increased as a result of Na/Ca ion displacement.
Usage in Sector:
Bentonite has a sand binder properties used as die material in casting due to its colloidal properties and high plasticity. -Drilling sludge to become waxy, the transport of crumbs to the upward transportation of water leaks to prevent. -Used to lighten the color of oils, ca-bentonites are used with acid activation, surface areas and gaps in crystal are widened, Fe, Ti, Ca, Na and K are separated from the crystallattial structure of clay minerals, h- bonds are formed in cavities, bleaching it is converted into soil and used as a filter material for refining vegetable oils (such as zeytinoil, sunflower, corn, sesame seeds, soybean, palm, canola, cotton oils). -Bentonite with binding and plastic properties is used for pelleting iron powders. -Obtaining water and liquid sealing in basic and dam structures in civil engineering, -Clarity of wine and fruit waters, -Animal feed making, -As filling material in pharmaceutical, paper, tire industry, -Cement industry, ceramic as a additive in the industry, -petroleum refining, -Waste water cleaning, -Paint industry and fire extinguishers, -Fertilizer production and soil reclamation is used. The vast majority of bentonite deposits are operated by open operation, but they are not used for the use of bentonite deposits. Due to the thickness of the cover on some very high quality bentonite deposits, it can be operated by closed operation method as in one of the Bavarian bentonite quarries. In production technology, trucks and wagons with large transport volumes with rubber wheel edgings, screypers and tracked scoops form the first stage. The second stage is a breakage, grinding, activation and packaging plant located close to the drying area.
Bentonite grinders usually have the ability to grind in 200-325 mesh grain sizes. Apart from the rainy seasons, bentonite taken from the stove is spread out in the drying areas if it is not activated with soda. Dried bentonite is given to the coarse crusher tank with scoops, roughly crumbled bentonite comes to the mill of 200 mesh with tape, where it is grinded on one side and dried with 2 hot air currents on the other hand and separated from the grains under 200 mesh. It is then packed in damp-proof bags weighing 50 kg. Bentonites are called 'Na active bentonite, active bleaching soil or polymer-additive bentonite' according to the type of activation or additive material used. The most widely used method for improving bentonite quality is sodium carbonate activation. This method is the appropriate mixing of the bentonite at the rate of certain humidity. Ca bentonites are activated with acid to increase the bleaching power of natural bentonites used as a decoloration in edible oils.
Bentonite clay, is considered by many as a healing clay and has been widely used. When applied to the skin, it is thought to absorbs toxins and poisons that get trapped in the skin. The clay typically originates from the mountainous Wyoming region and mined directly from the earth. It’s coloring can range from light gray to off-white with little to no odor. It’s filled with minerals and is considered by many to have a shelf life of 4-5 years. It is important to note that Bentonite clay is not suitable for ingestion. This is a natural product from the earth that is known to contain lead.
